Why do fools fall in love?

I officially signed my house for next year today! It's nothing short of amazing: all hardwood floors, granite counter tops, our own patio with a bbq, chandelier in the living room, words can't describe how excited I'm getting. After stalking the house for hours and jotting down decorating ideas for every last inch of it I walked outside to see a parcel on my door stoop. I open it to find these lovely Bandolino shoes that I ordered months ago and totally forgot about. Is today my day or is it my day?

You been flying so high and flying so low

I finally understand the hype over American Apparel high waisted shorts. Oh hot damn, is the only way to describe them. Picked up some on a day-trip down to Seattle yesterday and might never take them off. Yes I know I'm a bit late to get on this trend, but better late than never.

Sugarlips

When it comes to the summer month's comfort is the main priority, and nothing beats loose tops with shorts, so when I so kindly received this top in the mail from sugarlips I knew I'd have to put a summer twist on it. I paired it with my favorite linen summer-time shorts and some flats, although it would have gone lovely with my brown wooden heels I'm still kicking myself for forgetting them at my house in Hawaii. Living out of a suitcase is getting old very fast, half my wardrobe is in storage in Victoria, a third is in boxes at my parent's in Hawaii, and the rest is in three, very small, duffle bags. But somehow this look managed to come together nicely, I've got to say my absolute favorite part about this top was the opened shoulders and back, just enough to let the summer breeze in but still make any outfit look classy and put-together.

Queen of the Castle

Whew, it's been quite awhile since I lasted posted. But low and behold my tripod was dropped on my door step today. Lately I've been wearing these high wasted shorts with everything, I feel they tie together any outfit, although with summer on the rise I shall soon be sporting all the lace and chiffon skirts I bought during winter, when the hot days were just a dream. Well I'm off to work, not like this was supposed to be my day off or anything, thanks boss.

Off to a good ol' canadian hoe down, aka a cowboy themed barn party. Check-out the gems [vintage leather cowboy boots] I found in my grandma's basement, apparently they were my mum's when she was my age.

I'm not so sure cow gals wear sheer flowey tops and feather hair extentions, but hell I'm a mod-cowgirl and I ain't wearin no plaid. I promise I'll post photos from the party later on tomorow! Once I've recovered from the massive hangover I'm bound to have.

Lace and Wayfares

As of this afternoon, I'm officially a working girl complete with a lovely uniform that is not puke green this time! & in other news, I popped the cork on my very own wine. It's nothing fancy like my own vineyard or anything, just one of those home-wine kits I tested out last Summer, and after letting it sit in my Grandma's cellar all year I figured it was time to sample the goods. I must say it was damn good, better than I was expecting. Hell, with the alcohol prices in Canada I might take on a side job next year, making this shit and selling it to the unsuspecting freshman. The Lovely Blonde Alcohol Dealer! Just jokes, anyway off to bed. Hope your all off to a lovely week!

Lipstick Junkie

Marilyn lips and striped bodysuits. Sunny rays on her porcelain skin. It's only the start of the beer by the pool and bike rides down to the sea. Bubblegum vodka on our cherry lips as we hop from pool to pool curtesy of the abandoned mansions, billionaires forgotten Hawaiian purchases. Tying ourselves to the pursuit of fun, a train plowing through all obstacles straight for the beaches.
